System Upgrade - February 22, 2010

On the morning of February 22nd, I started the process of moving Odessa286.com from its former server to the servers it sits on now. Unfortunately, while I could back up the database for the main site, I could not use a database back up for the forums. The reason the forums database was unusable was because the software seriously needed to be upgraded from the four year old version I had been using to the recently released version 3.

While everyone will have to register their accounts again (sorry), I believe that this software will serve us better, and function easier for members of the pack and any visitors that site may attract.

There are also other benefits from the move that took place on February 22nd. I will discuss them here in this forum as they are worked up and I am ready to introduce these new features. One of the features that I've been working on is establishing email accounts for the Leadership of Odessa286. I will go into that and all of the features later.
